Vinicius Junior makes decision on ‘lucrative’ Saudi Pro League offer

Vinicius Junior is reported to have turned down an approach from the Saudi Pro League in favour of chasing his dream of winning the Ballon d’Or with Real Madrid.

As reported by The Athletic, the winger’s representatives were contacted by the Public Investment Fund delegation, working on behalf of the country’s Ministry of Sport.

PIF were looking to persuade Vinicius to become the face of the league ahead of the 2034 World Cup, which is set to be hosted by Saudi Arabia.

However, Real Madrid have no intention of selling Vinicius and the player is eager to remain at the club and continue working under Carlo Ancelotti.

Vinicius, whose current contract runs until 2027, has a release clause of €1billion (£855million).
